Full Detail w/ Color Sanding – Black 2006 Nissan Altima

Again, another black car with a whole bunch of scratches all around the car, but bad scratches on the rear right quarter panel. Ouch! But MiracleMan from Allure Auto Detail is here once again to save the year. I was surprised myself as I was able to take out all the scratches. Some looked as though they were too deep, but not this time.

Color Sanding Project DONE! Full Detail DONE! ALLURE

Do you believe in miracles? I do. Who would have thought of going to an auto detail specialist to remove the scratches around their entire vehicle. Your local body shop can do it – them and Allure Auto Detail.

Hard at work buffing out the sanded bumper. See for yourself and maybe learn a little about wet sanding.

Here are some photos of the finished product. Huge makeover for the Black 2004 Chevy SS.

Another Beautiful & Black – 2004 Chevy SS

There are several scratches on this truck from driving through trees and bushes. Some scratches are too deep to be fixed, but there are hundreds of other small scratches. How do you take care of this?

Answer. Color sanding, also known as wet sanding. The process is long, but well worth the blood and sweat shed. The results? Hundreds of scratches turned into a few countable scratches and a shiny finish.

What is color sanding? The process removes minor scratches and orange peel on cars with a clear coat. By sanding down a thin layer of clear coat, scratches are leveled out and then machine polished for a like-new finish with a rubbing compound. Then, by polishing with a glaze, the swirl marks are taken out. Finally adding a wax or polymer sealant will give you a shine that should last about 4-6 months depending on the weather and storage conditions.

Below are a few photos of the 2004 Chevy SS I am working on.

The upper piece has been color sanded. See the difference?

Here are both pieces color sanded. Wow!

What’s next? Photos of the finished car; color sanded and fully detailed (inside & out)

My Latest Allure Auto Detail Trailer Upgrade

So I finally got the chance to get the stickers designed for my trailer and it’s lookin’ hot (Ssssss)! I also fixed up an engine and restored the headlights on an older Mercedes, but left my digital camera at the office. Anyhow, I may be doing another engine cleaning in the next two days, so I’ll be sure to take my digital camera with me.

Here are the photos of my trailer. What do you think? Could be bigger huh? JK. These were taken in Brentwood on Granville and Westgate.
